Recorded by Skip Blumberg, this particular footage shows performances by The Champions, a cheerleading/dance/jump rope group of girls residing in the Marcy Homes in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The Champions appear again in tape #15837, but are called “The Street.”

  The Halsted Street TV Show was a video project started by Tom Weinberg and Scott Jacobs. At a storefront on Halsted Street in Chicago, independent videomakers and artists held screenings and discussions of their work. This tape is of a private booth where attendees could voice their opinions on the night’s show (the contents of which are not completely identified).

With home computer, video system and related technology as topics, the program went away from its original structure and produced a thirty-minute-clip that is repeated twice. Processed video is combined with real life acting television. Computer games take turns with shots in a Mexican landscape, studio production with graphic animations. They show the variety of art forms in television.
