He talks about resident protests against the Chicago Housing Authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Cabrini Green’s community, the 1992 gang truce, growing up in Cabrini, the Robert E. Byrd Academy, his family, and the effects of the demolition project on residents.
The tape features a demo for the television show “Wired In.” While the program never actually came to fruition, the footage and demos put together are an interesting look into the the technological trends and innovations of the 1980s.
