This video shows four outdoors musical performances on the 3rd street promenade in Los Angeles. The first plays a kazoo and banjo, the second a hammered dulcimer, the third a violin, and the final a guitar.
This video consists of two parts. The first is an interview with Satori Shakoor, a performer in the Los Angeles area with her own one-woman show. The second is said show, although unfortunately the recording of the show is not complete.
This is a video by Judith Binder of New Orleans for the award-winning series, The 90’s. The first 20 minutes or so shows the city and various sites and attractions and the rest of the video shows a set by Marcia Ball, a New Orleans singer.

Documentary about the rapidly fading Cajun culture in rural Louisiana. About half of the tape focuses on Nathan Abshire, “Mr. Accordion,” who performs traditional music with his band and talks about the old life. The other major focus of the tape is the celebration of Cajun Mardi Gras.
This tape features layoffs of three performances by activists and musicians Andres Jimenez, Jose de Molina, and Marta Rodriguez. Each segment lasts for about a minute, and was recorded at a Puerto Rican Nationalist event.
Studs Terkel and Gladys Knight both appear on the program. Terkel appears in promotion of his newest book, My American Century.
