  One half of this tape, comprised of production materials for the “Once a Star” series, is an excerpt from an interview with Olympic Swimmer Mark Spitz. He discusses fame and athletic drive. The second half of this tape is a series of interviews and montage highlight footage from six former professional basketball players. They discuss their current occupations, the feeling of playing in the National Basketball Association, and several other topics.

  This tape is part of an interview with renowned Oakland A’s manager Charlie Finley. In the interview, Finley discusses the lighter side of his career, from incentivizing his players to grow mustaches, to the difference between a mule and a donkey (Charlie-O, a mule, was the A’s mascot for a brief period of time) to his tumultuous relationship with former baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn. It was shot for the documentary Once A Star.

  This tape is comprised of a short interview segment with hockey legend Bobby Hull, as well as some b-roll of Bobby and brother Dennis Hull skating and shooting around an ice rink. In the interview, Hull gives insight into the fleeting nature of playing on a hockey team, his relationship with his brother Dennis, and his current career in the cattle business. It was shot for the documentary Once A Star.
