  Footage for the documentary “Voices of Cabrini.” Shot between 1995-1999, it documented the Cabrini Green redevelopment project proposed and carried out by the city of Chicago. This video features a number of early still photographs of the building of CHA housing and its first residents.

  Video for the documentary “Voices of Cabrini.” Shot between 1995-1999, it documented the Cabrini Green redevelopment project proposed and carried out by the City of Chicago. This tape includes two interviews with Mark Pratt outside on the common grounds of Cabrini and inside his home on December 17, 1995. He talks about resident protests against the Chicago Housing Authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Cabrini Green’s community, the 1992 gang truce, growing up in Cabrini, the Robert E. Byrd Academy, his family, and the effects of the demolition project on residents.

  This tape features footage from activist Marion Stamps’ funeral. There is also an interview with Secretary of State Jesse White.

  Footage for the documentary “Voices of Cabrini.” Shot between 1995-1999, it documented the Cabrini Green redevelopment project proposed and carried out by the city of Chicago. This video contains footage of the Pratt family in Cabrini Green. There are several interviews with Mark Pratt where he describes growing up in Cabrini. Pratt takes director Ronit Bezalel on a walking tour through Cabrini, ending in Smokey Playground.

  Footage for the documentary “Voices of Cabrini.” Shot between 1995-1999, it documented the Cabrini Green redevelopment project proposed and carried out by the city of Chicago. This video includes footage of construction workers demolishing a Cabrini building, Robbins Barber Shop, and the Pratt family home. Mark Pratt also takes the filmmakers on a tour of the neighborhood.

  Footage for the documentary “Voices of Cabrini.” Shot between 1995-1999, it documented the Cabrini Green redevelopment project proposed and carried out by the city of Chicago. This tape features footage of what used to be Robbins Barber Shop on Division Street. A team of construction workers has already demolished it and is cleaning up the area. This is followed by footage of a few news stories on the Cabrini Green neighborhood. Towards the ends of the tape, there is footage from inside Robbins Barbershop before it was torn down.

  This tape features footage from a National Liberation Armed Forces (FALN) support rally in late 1979 in Chicago. It took place right after Puerto Rican Nationalists Oscar Collazo, Irving Flores, Rafael Cancel Miranda, and Lolita Lebron were released from jail upon President Jimmy Carter’s commutation of their sentences. Collazo was incarcerated for the attempted assassination of President Harry Truman in 1950. Flores, Miranda, and Lebron had been in jail for a 1954 attack on the U.S. House of Representatives. This tape features a dinner and then a march in Humboldt Park.
