Raw footage from the 1976 documentary "Making It In Hollywood," which follows several actors as they attempt to break into the movie business.
Actresses Sally Kirkland and Shelley Winters are interviewed. Kirkland shows her resume photos/headshots. Winters is typically candid and talks about longing for the days of Hollywood’s studio system. She urges Kirkland, her goddaughter, not to talk about the roles she “didn’t get.” Winters goes onto say that “acting is thinking,” and addresses the myth that actors are lazy.
